Sunday services October, 2023.
October 1 18th Sunday after Pentecost -- 9:00 Service. The first reading is Ezekiel 18 1:4, 25-32. The Psalm is 25. The second reading is Phillippians 2:1-13. The gospel reading is Matthew 21:23-32.
" A Servant God Comes to Die " is the sermon title for this coming Sunday. The sermon is based on Phillippians 2:1-13 .
Emphasis Points:
1. Jesus is a servant of God.
2. In life he poured himself out over the needs and hurts of others.
3. In death he poured himself out over the sins of the world as he died on Calvary's Cross.
4. In His resurrection he overcame the power of death.
5. We model our ministries after Jesus.
Following worship, we study 1 Corinthians chapter 12-13. In our study book we read chapter 10," Be Wise About the Church Body"
