June 29, 3rd Sunday after Pentecost -- 9:00 Service. First Reading: 1 Kings 19:15-16, 19-21, Psalm 16, Second Reading: Galatians 5:1, 13-25, Gospel: Luke 9:51-62
Dear Servants,
"Let Me First," is the sermon title for this coming Sunday. The sermon is based on Luke 9:51-62.
Emphasis points:
1. Do the words of Jesus in this text seem harsh and unrealistic?
2. What holds first priority, first concern in your daily life?
3 Jesus calls for first, total and passionate devotion to himself and the kingdom.
4. No excuses, count the cost and seek to abandon anything that gets in the way of The Kingdom of God.
In Parables class we look at chapters 17 & 18 based on Luke 12:13-21, Luke 13:6-9.
